You will depart Sedona on a stylish Cessna airplane en route to Monument Valley, located in southern Utah. Sights to be seen along the way include Sedona's own famous red rock formations, Oak Creek Canyon, the San Francisco Peaks mountain range and the Painted Desert. You'll also fly over the Navajo and Hopi Indian reservations.
Then, you'll be met with incredible views of Monument Valley's rugged, historic landscape. Monument Valley has been the site of many of Hollywood's Western films, as well as music videos. The valley's landmarks are numerous stratified butte rock formations layered with shale, sandstone and siltstone.
You can purchase an upgraded version of this tour that includes a 2.5-hour Jeep ground tour that travels the 17-mile dirt road that loops through Monument Valley. This upgrade will allow you an even closer look at the Monument Valley formations and will extend the tour's total time to 5 to 6 hours.
